Client: Rotaract Club of Saipan
Executive Summary: Worked with the client organization to conduct a needs analysis, design, develop, and implement an eLearning solution to address KSA gaps in conflict resolution and communication within a project management context
Challenge: The results of the root cause analysis revealed knowledge, skill, and attitude gaps in conflict resolution, including communication, particularly within the context of planning and implementing community service projects / project management. Membership engagement and retention are low because Rotaract Club of Saipan members (Learners) are unable to effectively resolve conflict and communicate leading to unhealthy work environments and “factions”, which drive members away from attending and participating in Rotaract meetings, events, and activities.
Solution: A 30-minute eLearning course that covers Thomas-Kilmann’s Conflict Resolution models, common sources of conflict, and a recommended conflict resolution process for Rotaract Club of Saipan members (Learners) to utilize for conflict resolution within a project management context.
Results: After completing the course, learners were able to identify, address, and resolve interpersonal and project-related conflicts through effective communication 90% of the time, leading to a more harmonious and productive volunteer environment.

Tool used in development: We Are
IDOL Courses Academy partnered with We Are for the We Are Learning Design Challenge. Participants in the Academy were challenged to transform a problem scenario from our eLearning course into an engaging, interactive learning moment. The goal was to create a standalone learning experience that reinforces a key concept in an immersive way.
Result: Winning entry for the We Are Learning Design Challenge
Feedback: "Philip’s submission stood out for its interactive scenario, thoughtful animation, and engaging design, which encouraged learner interaction, reflection, and provided tailored feedback based on responses. His work exemplifies how We Are can bring problem scenarios to life in an immersive and impactful way."
